An existing cellar was accessed by a new external staircase and internally improved to create a plant room to house the extensive mechanical equipment including a ground source heat pump.
The work included providing new insulated ground floor with underfloor heating and damp proof lining to the internal stone walls.
All new drainage and external works including forming a new raised terrace and a feature set of stone steps to the traditional front entrance. The external stonework was repaired and feature stone heads and cills replaced as required and the whole external stonework was prepared and repointed.
Wide plank oak flooring was provided to most of the ground floor together with new kitchen and utility units. Both electrical and mechanical services were completely replaced and a pumped cold water system was added.
